Reformeer detects the column layout, date format, and decimal separator automatically using a Gemini AI call — no manual template setup or column mapping is required. This works for ABSA, FNB, Capitec, Nedbank, Standard Bank, and any other format the AI can parse, including PDF statements where columns aren't strictly tabular. After extraction, the AI also suggests a chart-of-accounts category and a matching member for every transaction; a finance officer reviews each suggestion before posting — nothing is auto-committed.

The per-envelope balance is always visible and is reconciled against the corresponding chart-of-accounts equity line. This solves the Reformed congregational use case where deacons steward restricted funds that must remain ring-fenced from general operating income.
